Breakfast at the CWC Restaurant

I love everything al fresco! We weren't able to buy some food for breakfast when we went to Naga, so on our 2nd day in CWC, we decided to try their open-air restaurant.

Good thing we didn't buy anything the prior night coz I super loved what we had for breakfast that day.  The cottages by the pool were reserved so we took a tent farthest from the pool and had our breakfast al fresco!!

Sadly, I forgot the name of what I ordered.  It's potato, with cheese, bacon and scrambled egg garnished with onion springs.  I swear this was so yummy it made the husband wish he ordered the same.  The taste was very rich and all flavors blending together made it so delicious!!

The serving was too hefty for me.  I was already full before it was finished, so the husband, to his delight, helped me consume every bit of it.

The plating of their food is really simple yet looked so classy.  We only paid Php310 for this satisfying breakfast...yummm.

As opposed to the service we encountered in Bob Marlin in Magsaysay Avenue, the waiters in this restaurant were very accommodating.  They were already having this expecting and welcoming look in their eyes while we were only approaching their counter to check the menu.

Definitely, we'll be back and check out their other meals when we go back to CWC!!

Bob Marlin

After swimming in the pool in CWC, we were scheduled to take the 7pm shuttle service to Naga.  We wanted to check out Magsaysay Avenue, which was the place to go if you want to experience the night life in Naga City.  The shuttle driver dropped us there before heading to SM Naga.

Avenue Square in Magsaysay Avenue

we were surprised GCF Naga's there too!!

Magsaysay Avenue is a stretch of restaurants, grills & bars, hotels and other stores.  Hotels like Villa Caceres and Avenue Plaza Hotel are situated there and we also found Starbucks, Havaianas and another Bigg's store across a mobile McDonald's truck.

there was the Black Market bazaar

we needed to use the very slow internet to check some news about my friend and relatives in Japan

We originally intended to eat at the Avenue Square but found nothing local that interested our taste buds.  We thought of trying the mobile McDonald's instead, but no, because there's McDonald's in Metro Manila and we really wanted to try some place local! So we took the tricycle and looked for other restaurants and found Bob Marlin.

We went in and the place seemed so unhappy. We didn't hear even a cold "Goodevening."  We took a table being cleaned by a waiter at that time and waited for another waiter to approach us and give us a menu, no waiter came.  So we ourselves took the menu lying on another table.  At that moment, we already felt bored and uncared for as customers.  We had to call a waiter when we were about to place our order, as no waiter was waiting for it.  Done with the ordering, and waiting time is 15 minutes.

sleepy!!

We ordered a bilao meal with liempo, grilled squid, salted egg and fish fillet with fried rice. True to his word, the waiter came back 15 minutes after we placed our order.

our food

The food was so-so.   The liempo was fine, the squid was a lot tastier than the liempo though.  We loved the rice most, it exceeded our expectation, yummy!! I loved that there was salted egg and tomatoes, I wished they put more tomatoes though.

gone!!

Total bill: Php310

The food was ok but the service was very very poor.  The waiters must have been busy with the party going on outside but they shouldn't have left the customers inside unattended.  After we ate, we waited yet again for a waiter to be around so we could get our bill.  We were in a hurry because we had to catch the 9pm shuttle back to CWC!!  Finally we hand-signalled for our bill and again we had to wait looooong.  We instead went to the counter, and on our way, the waiter handed the bill to us and guess what where we paid for our food.  The counter table!!!  They didn't even wait for us to hand the money!! We could have left without paying.  Tsk. When we left the restaurant, we didn't hear even a single Thank You!

the experience here was *yawn* pretty boring..

This was the only negative experience we had in Camarines Sur.

BIGG's Diner

When we came back to Naga after our island hopping adventures in Caramoan, we immediately headed to SM City Naga to have lunch.  The husband got seriously curious with Bigg's because we saw a number of big billboards that said "BIGG's: The Biggest Food Chain in the Bicol Region."  We were made to think Bigg's is famous, and we weren't wrong.

The interior of their store in SM Naga is full of sports stuff.

The husband ordered Bigg Deal, that included spaghetti, pork bbq, fried chicken and bread.  His food was so-so.  I didn't like the spaghetti much, it was sweet and the husband called it "kid's spaghetti."

Bigg Deal

What I had was this, Extreme Supreme Burger!!!!  And surprisingly, it was so delicious.  The blend of flavors was so notable and the husband agreed with me.

Total bill : Php 310.

Entrance of the store in SM Naga.

When we go back to Naga, I'd like to eat in Bigg's again, maybe we will try the one in Magsaysay Avenue behind Starbucks and I'd order Extreme Supreme Burger again aside from new meals to try. *drools*
